How Camera Lenses Shape Image Quality
The same camera fitted with different lenses can produce very different results — from depth of field and optical distortion to how a lens renders out-of-focus areas (bokeh).
Prime lenses (fixed focal length) generally deliver better optical quality and wider apertures than zoom lenses at a similar price point, but require the crew to swap lenses whenever the framing needs to change — a trade-off between image quality and shooting speed.
